Rock the Vote on the Pontiac Hall of Fame

Attention POCI Members!! It has come to our attention that POCI has a very influential member via-ing for induction into the Pontiac Hall of Fame.

POCI Founder, Don Bougher, has been nominated for induction into the Pontiac Hall of Fame. Don started the Pontiac Owner's Club in 1972, which later became to be known as the club we all love, the Pontiac-Oakland Club International. Sadly, as many of you are aware, Don passed away in November 2023. It would be a great tribute to see his name hanging on the Pontiac Hall of Fame board which is located at the Pontiac-Oakland Museum in Pontiac, Illinios.

Also included in this year's nominations are two other long time POCI members. Jon Wacholtz, and Ron Panzer.

Jon was an active member of the Minnesota Tomahawk Chapter 13 of POCI, the GTOAA, NHRA drag racing, NHRA Division 5, USA Stockers Association, Midwest Heartland Stock/Superstock Association, and the Land of Lakes GTO Club.

Ron worked for the POCI’s magazine, Smoke Signals, for a while. He loved to write and could write stories about cars and explain how to repair engines.

The PPA Hall of Fame is an independent, non-profit educational institution dedicated to preserving an appreciation of the historical development of the Pontiac hobby and its impact on the industry by preserving the memory of those who have made outstanding contributions.

The Hall of Fame's mission is to preserve Pontiac's history, honor excellence within, and make a connection between the generations of people who enjoy these classic cars. Induction into the PPA Hall of Fame is reserved for those who have made a significant impact on the Pontiac automobile as well as the hobby itself.

For 2024, 2 nominees from both catagories will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

If you have voted in previous elections then we already have your information on file and you will be automatically added to the voting list.
