NORTH COAST PONTIAC CHAPTER (OHIO) - MAY 2012

Chapter member Mike Petryshyn is new to Pontiac car collecting.  He purchased his 1973 poncho two years ago at an auction at the IX Center in Cleveland.  His bid was good enough to drive his first Pontiac home.  This Grand Ville convertible joined Mike’s collection of three Cadillacs.

Mike’s new addition was assembled in Pontiac, MI and sold to its first owner in Pennsylvania for $5,500.  Mike is the third owner of this Florentine Red classic.  Features include a 455 cubic-inch, 4 barrel, V8 engine, a Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, plus power front disc brakes.  Options include power windows, AM radio with a power 8 track tape player, and air conditioning.

Mike cleaned up the motor and recently switched the air conditioning to R-134a.  Refurbishing the interior including the all Morrokide interior trim is on Mike’s  to- do list.

With approximately 85,000 original miles the ’73 Grand Ville convertible is a great running car.   Mike enjoys cruising his solid, rust free, daily driver.

Our Third Annual Poker Run/Road Rally was on May 20^th .   A big THANK YOU to Tom and Regina Moritz for planning this wonderful event.   Everyone who attended had a great time.

On June 10^th, NCPC hosted the 21^st Annual BOP Car Show/Swap Meet.  A grand display of striking Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs  filled the Solon Commons area.
